Working on text for a Mudbox Ogre, for those interested a Mudbox Ogre is an ogre that lives in a box... down by the river... where there's mud. Hence the name.

Time to duplicate and join up.

Main wing modeled and moving on to the tail wing.

Has a few hiccups replicated the propeller pieces but eventually they were beaten into formation.

Finished modeling the propeller, just need to quadruplicate (is that a word?) and on to the wings/fins.

Finally found some good angle shots of the propeller blades in order to model them properly, none of the blueprints had detail on the propeller.

Went back to start over with a sphere as in the long run it will potentially make the project faster and easier in the long run... I hope.

Set up the guide images for modeling the Mustang today and sketched out plans for the basic shapes to start modeling. I'm looking at basically one cylinder and four cubes (and a lot of extrudes off of them) for the fuselage.  

The next project will be a P-51 Mustang (P51D) which should be a good learning project for my summer project of building a 3D model of the Battleship Yamato and USS Arizona.

Completed with final textures that make all my efforts (to make it a little leaner) moot as it looks pretty much the same as tutorial standard with the white plastic texture. You can see a slight difference if you look at the arms close.

After many weird things with Maya including a trip to the phantom zone and an alternate reality where the drone arm had a beard we appear to be back to normality.  >_<
